Student Investment Lead
Join the founding investment team.
We are launching a student-led investment initiative to back the next generation of KTH founders. As part of the founding team, you and your teammates will have full authority to decide which founders to back with capital.
Through this role, you will build relationships with founders, alumni and international investors while gaining hands-on experience of identifying, evaluating and funding early-stage ventures stemming from KTH.
What you’ll do
Find promising founders. Decide who to back.
You will build a presence across campus, get to know founders early and understand what could help them move forward. Together with your teammates, you will:
- Identify and assess promising founders and teams.
- Make funding decisions and follow the progress of the teams you back.
- Shape how the team works, from finding opportunities to assessing potential and building trusted relationships.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for highly ambitious and curious students who take initiative and get things done.
Requirements
- Admitted to first, second or third cycle education at a Swedish higher education institution.
- A demonstrated interest in startups and innovation.
- High proficiency in English, both spoken and written, as this is required in your daily work.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience building a product, founding a startup or bringing a project from idea to execution.
- Previous experience at a venture capital firm or involvement in early-stage investing.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree at KTH, with at least one year of studies remaining.
- Experience founding, leading or actively contributing to a student organization or campus community.
Previous venture capital experience is not required. We’re interested in how you think, the judgment you show and what you’ve made happen.

Practical details
We’re recruiting two Student Investment Leads to complete our three-person founding team. Both roles are paid, part-time positions (20%), on-site, offered on a one-year fixed-term contract.
You’ll be based at Teknikringen 1, home to KTH Innovation, one of Europe’s leading startup hubs where ambitious founders, researchers and investors come together to turn new ideas into reality.
